This webinar will introduce attendees to the science of sleep; what good quality, healthy sleep is and how to achieve it using evidence-based NICE recommended treatment guidelines.  

 

Attendees will be able to identify the various types of sleep problems that are commonly seen and have an understanding about how to improve their sleep and the sleep of their colleagues / employees leading to increased vigilance and attention, improved memory, enhanced performance and a reduction in work-related accidents, sickness, and absences.  

 

Helping to promote a safe, healthy and happy workforce with increased productivity using simple, effective and easy-to-implement interventions which are recommended by the NHS and the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence.

Dr David Lee BSc PhD CertEd CPsychol CSci

Dr David Lee BSc PhD CertEd CPsychol AFBPsS CSci.  Originally a Human Biologist but then conducted a PhD in Sleep Psychology at Loughborough University's internationally renowned Sleep Research Centre examining sleep and associated quality of life in at-risk, clinical groups. 

Since then, he has held academic posts at Bradford and Newcastle Universities, lecturing in Psychobehavioural Treatments for Insomnia, and as a clinician works with those who have complex needs.  As well as training over 7,000 healthcare professionals and talking to people from over 500 organisations globally, he has provided consultation to companies, individuals and legal teams relating to sleep, is a Bond Solon trained expert witness and is author of ‘Teaching the World to Sleep’, Routledge publishing, 2nd edition.
