Glenn Ridsdale

Glenn is an award-winning International Risk and Performance Management consultant, with over 30 years of experience working with a variety of clients in an array of blue-chip business sectors including aviation, power, petrochemical, oil and gas, renewable energy, manufacturing, waste and recycling, construction local government, hospitality, leisure, and FM.  A Fellow of the IIRSM, a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, Glenn holds a MSc in Behaviour Change (Occupational Health and Safety) and an MBA from the University of Cumbria, specialising in Leadership and Sustainability.

A founding Chair for the IIRSM Northeast and Cumbria branch and having previously supported the IIRSM Fellowship recommendation panel, Glenn’s role as the Managing Director of the International Training and Consultancy organisation, Gauged Solutions Ltd, affords him the opportunity to work with clients on a global scale, some of which are Fortune 500 and FTSE 50 organisations.  Gauged Solutions were joint inaugural winners of the Barry Holt award for Outstanding Risk management Practice in 2018.

With a passion for risk and performance improvement, both individually and in business, Glenn is highly sought after for both Training and Consultancy provision in addition to keynote speaking slots at major international risk and leadership conferences. 

Giving back to a career that continues to provide so many wonderful opportunities and experiences is important to Glenn and his altruistic endeavours, which include personal mentoring, coaching and support to both younger and the more mature professionals in risk and leadership positions, allows him to share with others his experience and knowledge, helping them succeed in their chosen fields.  He has personally mentored individuals from the shop floor up to and including C-Suite executives, who have progressed and gone on to achieve great things in their own careers.

Whenever he can, Glenn continues to work closely with IIRSM including Gauged Solutions being corporate partners of IIRSM and he is supporting with the judging of this year’s Risk Excellence awards for the fourth year in succession.
