Hilary Philpot

Hilary originally gained a BA Hons in Art & Design and worked as a fashion designer for several years before joining the BBC in the costume department.

Four years later she joined the Royal Opera House where she worked her way up to Deputy Head of Costume. She was asked to take on the Health and Safety role during closure for the refurbishment and eventually moved full time into the role which she discovered she really enjoyed having achieved the NEBOH General Cert.

Two years after reopening, in 2020, Hilary accepted a two year contract with English National Ballet, and when that ended, went to Universal Music Group where she stayed for three years.

During the time she successfully gained the NEBOSH Diploma and subsequently become a Chartered member of IOSH.

Following 18 months at Wembley Stadium and Wembley London she worked for Clear Channel outdoor media for three years before moving to The O2 where she stayed for six years before moving to Southbank Centre in 2015.

Hilary now works for the Royal Household.
