Having lived and worked abroad for many years (mostly in China), Helen gained first-hand experience of the joys and challenges of handling cultural diversity. This led her to develop a particular interest in communication across cultures and intercultural relations, which she has subsequently explored from both theoretical and applied perspectives. Her underpinning conceptual work has been published in numerous articles, ‘insight blogs’ and books, the most recent of which is Global Fitness for Global People. How to manage and leverage cultural diversity at work (with Franklin and Lazidou, Castledown, 2022). She’s currently working on a new book Making Working Relationships Work (with Lazidou, Castledown).
