IIRSM appoints new Trustee

IIRSM is delighted to have appointed Melissa Fazackerley, Founder of Dimension H&S Ltd and The Safety Social, as a new Trustee.

Alongside fellow Council members, she will play a vital role in the governance and oversight of IIRSM.

At the latest IIRSM Council meeting, Melissa was formally co-opted as a Trustee. With her appointment, IIRSM will draw on her expertise and skills to support the effective governance of the Institute and drive its strategy forward.

Melissa’s career spans more than 20 years in construction and manufacturing, working closely with SMEs as part of a global supply chain. She works with clients to deliver realistic risk management strategies, drawing on her executive coaching expertise and recognised ISO standards as practical frameworks. Her approach fosters success in risk management from operations through to the board and beyond. She is the founder of The Safety Social, a networking group that shares the values of IIRSM in education in risk management and community. Melissa received the IIRSM President’s Commendation Award in 2025.

Melissa said: “I am absolutely thrilled to join IIRSM Council as a Trustee and am so excited to be involved. By joining a membership body that truly holds the voice of its members at the core of everything we do, we can promote diversity in risk management – diversity in people, diversity in thought – and true leadership in our industry.”

The role of Trustee is performed on a voluntary basis. In accordance with our governing documents, new co-opted Trustees are required to stand for election by IIRSM Members at the next Annual General Meeting in December.
