Shannon Overland
Shannon Overland brings her clients engaging and dynamic expertise, commercially astute professionalism, and a track record of successfully working with leaders to cultivate their desired organizational culture. For 30 years, Shannon has partnered with major clients in the forest, manufacturing, transportation, utility, and oil and gas sectors to deliver services in leadership development, organizational change, executive coaching, and the development and implementation of safety management systems.
Prior to joining DEKRA, Shannon was head of operations for a forestry company, where she spearheaded the implementation of a safety system that significantly reduced TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) and garnered numerous industry awards for safety. Building on her experience, Shannon specializes in leadership development, organizational change, and engagement initiatives, including coaching and mentoring leaders.
As a Principal Consultant with DEKRA, she has delivered expert leadership and management consulting services to a diverse group of leading national and multinational corporations. Through her work she has been intimately involved in increasing productivity, improving bottom-line results, and enhancing client competitiveness through the delivery of best-in-class training and coaching programs.
Shannon holds a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from Royal Roads University and two bachelor’s degrees in education from the University of British Columbia. She holds a graduate certificate as a certified executive coach, is accredited by the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach and has most recently trained as a professional mentor coach. She is a certified MBTI practitioner, and a facilitation specialist with a focus on leadership and safety and has developed customized workshops and curriculums.
